HAPPY HOME CHILDREN - THAILANDThe Happy Home Project is to rescue children in Northern Thailand from sexual slavery, destitution and death and to give them hope, education and a future. Bee keeping with the sale of honey and wax would support the children and, eventually, make them self-sufficient. The equipment (hives, extractor, working shed, etc.) is ready and waiting. After an attack of ants we need to replace the bees to the hives. The hives are in a field in the jungle so now we have to lift the hives off the floor and make them insect proof. We would estimate £700 would get it in full production again.
Eight new childrenTHE NEEDThe need to rescue these children is great. If sold into sexual slavery, four years later they are sent home, to die shortly from aids. The contrast at Happy Home Children's Development Centre is healthy, happy children bubbling with smiles and a successful future in prospect
Children serving the Lord with happiness and at the ZooWith 4,000 children sold into sexual slavery in Thailand every year. This practice is illegal in Thailand but unscrupulous criminals do not care. There is a very urgent need to make inroads against this nauseating situation. This project has the ability to do so, without indefinate outside help. SOLUTIONTo solve the problem your contribution will help to finance an increase in hives into a Bee Farm. It would later help to set up the Christian Foundation of a school for 500 children, a Health Centre with medicines and a Doctor's services, with a vegetable garden and a fruit orchard as a self-sustaining goal. The more it expands the more children are rescued. HELP AVAILABLETo help the sale and export of honey and wax the Beekeeping Section of Chiang Mai University is ready to help. Also the International Bee Research Association, Cardiff, (Director Richard Jones) will help and advise. So will the Bee Biology Research Unit at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok (Prof. Dr. S. Wongsiri). These children when rescued are given a Christian education. Jakapong and Mesinee Tyromritha are Father and Mother to the children. When you support this project you know that you are supporting a worthwhile cause - of a magnitude to help hundreds of children into the future. A relatively small amount of money brings vast results. It is a UNIQUE way of helping a children's charity to become self supporting through the sale of honey and wax. Six months ago Kendal Cobb an American working with an American organisation at Happy Home organised funds to help them build a new water system, showers and toilets. Also to put a roof over their kitchen that hadn't been finished. Very soon Happy Home will have clean water for showers etc. We thank you greatly for your kind and generous contributions and we hope you will continue to pray for and support our work for the Thai children.
